I bought this century old sewing machine for fifty bucks at a yard sale. It is now on display at our daughter’s house in Georgia. It was made by the White Sewing Machine Company. If a Singer was the Chevrolet of sewing machines, a White was the Cadillac, but in the end, they both did the same thing in the same way, so most people got the Singer.

Speaking of Singer, our other daughter is currently restoring a 1920 model that belonged to her great-grandmother. I can’t wait to get a picture of that.
